The downstream energy market in Nigeria continues to witness price adjustments for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), commonly known as cooking gas, following recent supply changes and adjustments by major domestic producers.
According to market surveys, the Dangote Refinery alongside key private depots—including NavGas, 11 PLC (formerly Mobil), and Ranoil—dispense cooking gas at gantry and ex-depot rates ranging between ₦945 and ₦960 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, other facilities like the A.Y.M. Shafa depot record slightly higher rates, hovering around ₦1,055 per kilogram due to regional logistical variations.
At the retail level, major filling station chains and independent marketers—such as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Ranoil, and A.Y.M. Shafa—sell cooking gas directly to consumers at retail pumps between ₦1,250 and ₦1,450 per kilogram in major commercial centers and cities like Abuja and Lagos.
Independent micro-retailers and neighborhood gas plants dispense retail quantities at approximately ₦1,500 per kilogram, depending on local distribution and operating overheads.
