Affirming his stance to back the president’s second-term bid, the governor declared, I am here to throw my weight behind Tinubu’s return to Aso Rock. Let us rise from every nook and corner to support the President. Let him come and complete the good work he has begun.

Emphasizing collective progress, Adeleke added, I want you to continue to pray for Mr. President because if he succeeds, we all succeed. I know we will get there.

Following his speech, the governor—widely recognized for his energetic stage presence—joined President Tinubu on stage to dance, singing along and drawing cheers and admiration from delegates present at the venue.

The lively display added an engaging moment to the ceremony as attendees watched the governor showcase his signature dancing style after publicly endorsing the president’s re-election bid.

Adeleke’s declaration followed the ruling party’s decision to list him alongside Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo as state campaign coordinators in its revised Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.

Under the updated structure, Adeleke, who belongs to the Accord Party, was designated to coordinate campaign activities across Osun State, while Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was assigned to manage operations in Anambra State.

Their inclusion in the campaign hierarchy underscores the ruling party’s strategy to build cross-party coalitions and widen political backing beyond its traditional membership base ahead of the 2027 presidential poll.

Explaining the move, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda noted that party leadership reached out to key opposition figures to solicit their support for Tinubu’s second term, adding that both governors agreed to coordinate campaign activities in their respective states.

In a similar arrangement, the revised campaign structure named Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, as the state coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT.

With President Tinubu heading the overall campaign council as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC Chairman Yilwatda will serve as vice-chairmen overseeing election strategy nationwide.

The inauguration, held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, formally brought the expanded campaign structure into focus as the ruling party consolidates its preparations ahead of the 2027 general election.
