“This Video From Wike Triggered Me So Much” — VDM Slams FCT Minister, Tinubu Over Political Impunity

Popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has launched a fiery tirade against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing the administration of breeding political impunity as the country gears up for the 2027 general elections.

In a viral video published on his Instagram page on Tuesday, VDM directed his criticism at both the president and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, reacting sharply to Wike’s public speech boasting about his role in manipulating the outcome of the 2024 Edo State governorship election.

Targeting the presidency directly, the activist argued that the conduct of certain cabinet members is a direct byproduct of Tinubu’s political strategy for securing a second term. Challenging the administration, VDM stated, President Tinubu, imagine the kind of impunity you have enabled in Nigeria, all in the name of securing a second term. You have allowed power-intoxicated like the FCT Minister to forget their place.

VDM further condemned Nyesom Wike’s overreach, reminding political actors that ultimate authority rests with the electorate in any true democratic framework.

Emphasizing public strength, he noted, The masses are bigger than all of you. Nobody knows the outcome of the 2027 election because you people have pushed Nigerians to the wall.

Shifting focus from political elites back to the citizenry, the activist also criticized ordinary Nigerians for letting tribal and religious fault lines weaken collective civic accountability.

Expressing deep frustration, he remarked, I blame the people that refuse to unit, always using tribal card and religion.
