Former PDP Spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan Resigns Membership

Kola Ologbondiyan, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has formally resigned his membership from the party.

Ologbondiyan announced his decision in a statement posted on X on Saturday, which was accompanied by a letter dated December 5, 2025. The letter was addressed to the Chairman of Okekoko Ward (09), Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Kogi State.

In the letter, titled “Notification of Membership Withdrawal,” the former PDP spokesperson explained that after a personal review of his involvement in the PDP, he had determined it was time to leave.

He directly addressed the ward chairman, stating: “It is now imperative to bring your attention to the fact that I have reviewed my participation in the PDP and came to the conclusion that, for personal reasons, I need to make my exit.”

The letter concluded with his formal decision: “I have therefore come to a decision to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP, henceforth.”

Ologbondiyan also expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership for the chances he was given to serve.

He wrote: “Let me start by thanking you, as well as other levels of leadership in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for the opportunities provided for me to serve the party as well as our fatherland, Nigeria.”
