The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially designated a new location for its national convention, which is set to take place in Abuja this Tuesday.
In a social media update shared via its X handle on Monday, the party confirmed that the gathering will now be held at the Rainbow Event Centre.
The party emphasized that this new venue provides a central and easily reachable spot for the delegates and stakeholders traveling from all parts of the nation.

To ensure attendees can find the location, the party provided specific details: “Venue for the ADC National Convention: Rainbow Event Center Plot 1193A, Off Southern Parkway, Garki Area 8, Abuja. Landmarks: Located behind the FCDA/AGIS Building and in close proximity to the NTA Headquarters, Area 11.”
This announcement follows a period of uncertainty regarding where the convention would be staged. Kola Ologbondiyan, the media aide to the party’s embattled National Chairman, Senator David Mark, had previously expressed concern that they were without a venue with less than a day to go.
He noted, “Twenty-four hours to the ADC National Convention, the Nigerians-aligned political party is yet to be issued a venue.”
Ologbondiyan claimed that the ADC had formally reached out to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s office to request the use of Eagle Square, but they allegedly heard nothing back even though the request had been acknowledged.
He also mentioned that attempts to book spaces at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, such as the Velodrome, had proven unsuccessful.
