The discussion followed the release of his new album, ‘Lungu Boy.’

When a fan inquired about his consistent use of Yoruba in his songs, Asake responded assertively.

He stated that singing in his native language allows him to express himself more authentically and suggested that those who do not appreciate his music in Yoruba should simply refrain from listening.

He said: “I am more comfortable singing in Yoruba, it’s not that I can’t sing in English. If you f*ck with me, f*ck with me with my Yoruba. If not, then don’t.”
