The retail price of Premium Motor Spirit across Nigeria has witnessed fresh upward adjustments, with depot and gantry prices settling between ₦1,265 and ₦1,310 per litre across major energy hubs.
According to the latest market bulletin from the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery currently maintains its gantry petrol price at ₦1,265 per litre in Lagos.
The local refining price reflects a ₦46 per litre cost advantage compared to the prevailing spot import-parity landing cost, which recently climbed to ₦1,310 per litre due to rising international crude oil benchmarks.
At major coastal depots in Lagos, petrol prices are currently trading between ₦1,265 and ₦1,290 per litre, with MRS listing at ₦1,267 and operators like Aiteo, Ascon, NIPCO, and Rainoil selling at ₦1,280.
In Port Harcourt, depot prices range between ₦1,287 and ₦1,310 per litre, with suppliers including Liquid Bulk, Masters, and Sigmund occupying the lower end of the regional pricing spectrum.
Depot operators in Warri and Calabar are dispensing petrol between ₦1,295 and ₦1,310 per litre, with Fynefield and Matrix listed at the higher end of the regional scale.
Retail filling stations across major metropolitan areas have adjusted their pump rates accordingly, with Lagos prices hovering around ₦1,280 to ₦1,320 per litre, while outlying states reflect higher transportation differentials.
The ongoing price pressure follows recent spikes in international crude oil prices, with Nigeria’s Brass River crude trading above $101 per barrel amid broader global market shifts.
