BudgIT Nigeria reports that if FAAC (Federation Account Allocation Committee) allocations were to cease immediately, 14 states in Nigeria would face significant challenges in meeting financial obligations like salaries, pensions, and gratuities.
These states depend on FAAC for at least 70% of their total revenue, making them particularly vulnerable.

- Akwa Ibom – 86.29%
- Delta – 83.88%
- Taraba – 81.89%
- Niger – 80.19%

- Bauchi – 75.33%
- Cross River – 74.87%
- Nasarawa – 74.55%
- Gombe – 72.29%
- Enugu – 70.68%
- Edo – 70.24%
- Kano – 70.24%
These states’ heavy reliance on FAAC allocations underscores the need for diversified revenue sources to ensure financial stability.
