The price hike comes only a day after the Dangote Petroleum Refinery raised its ex-gantry price to N799 per litre.

David Bird, the Chief Executive Officer of the refinery, noted that the plant continues to provide approximately 50 million litres of petrol daily, ensuring that “nationwide evacuation and distribution remain seamless.”

Bird further highlighted the refinery’s technical capabilities, stating that its “operational flexibility allows it to process a wide range of crude and intermediate feedstocks, ensuring uninterrupted PMS supply even during planned maintenance activities.”

Following this pricing shift, the refinery indicated that its partner stations, such as MRS, would adjust their pump prices to N839 per litre, a significant increase from the previous festive-period rate of N739.
